I used to think I had a lot of abandoned projects. I am not sure that is accurate anymore.

A surprising number of them were not abandoned at all. They became invisible.

Three months later the files are still there, but the project itself is gone. Not literally. The intent is gone.

We have dramatically increased our ability to produce work without necessarily increasing our ability to preserve the state surrounding that work.

Execution survives. Context does not.

Preserve continuity and something remarkable happens: you can safely stop, walk away, forget, and return without starting over.
